General Update


School has been taking pretty much all of my time. I've been spending days reading and reading and reading some more. I guess that's what I get for changing over to be an English major. As a result I haven't made the time that I should to go shooting, until today. I determined that I am going to start a new project that will be explained further down in this journal.

I broke the 5k page views this week! I'm amazed by that, thanks every one who's dropped by my page

Artwork Update and clubs

I've decided to do a photo study of the 'Dogs of Boulder' since there are almost always people around with their dogs. Boulder is a very active community and that translates over to pets as well, it's not uncommon to see some one skate boarding with their dog, or couples running with their well trained dogs at their heals. My goal is to go out and take a few pictures every day. or try to anyway, it depends on people bringing their dogs out for me to find.

I think your idea is fantastic, I been wanting to do that around here. Take picture of people and their dogs, but the summer months are the best time since our winters are very harsh. I cant wait to see all the dogs...I love dogs so much

It's true, summer would be better, Colorado weather however, is awesome and we get freakishly warm days like today where I was too warm in a hoodie and it was warm and sunny. Hopefully it's one of the first and I'll get to go 'boulder dog' hunting more in days to come.

DOgs of Boulder is a great project idea. I don't think you'll have ANY problem finding subjects. I've even seen people bring them into class. Dwayne has a sign on the window that says "NO PETS."

yeah, there is sure enough of them. of course when I went out yesterday boulder was almost completely devoid of them. I should go hang out on pearl and take pictures of people and their dogs next to the huge "no dog" sign that everyone ignores.

Wow, the only time in recorded history that you couldn't find a dog in Boulder. Pearl street should be good though.

That's a really cool idea. I've been trying to come up with street concepts so I could get some candid practice, but Greeley doesn't really have... street opportunities. I really hate this town. :shakefist:
